Alabama (AL)

Where to Sign
Back of the title near the top right, sign after ‘SIGNATURE(S) of Seller(s)’.

Multiple Owners
Only one owner must sign if the title contains ‘AND/OR’ or ‘OR’ between owner names printed on the front of the title.

Both owners must sign, one per line, if the title contains ‘AND’ between owner names or if nothing is listed between owner names.

Lien or Bank Name on Title
If the Alabama title has a lien or bank name printed on the front, then the title will need to be signed off by the lien holder or have a separate signed original lien release letter.

Multiple Owner

Only one owner must sign if the title contains ‘OR’ between owner names printed on the front of the title.

Both owners must separately sign, 1a for the first  owner and 1b for the second owner, if title contains ‘AND’ or ‘AND/OR’ between owner names, or if nothing is listed between owner names.

If the California title has a lien or bank name printed on the front, then the title will need to be signed off by the lien holder or have a separate signed original lien release letter.
